DISCLAIMER

As an Independent Private Hybrid Homeschool

iPLANETS ACADEMY does not receive funding from local or state governments. To offset educational expenses, we charge tuition for each child.

iPLANETS ACADEMY must make substantial financial commitments each year. For this reason, all tuition is non-refundable and non-transferable. Parents must understand that as a requisite of enrollment, a tuition contract must be signed and kept on file. By signing the tuition contract, parents understand that they are liable for the entire tuition amount for the school session you sign up for regardless of whether they attend the school for the entire school year. By agreeing to pay tuition and fees, parents also understand that iPLANETS ACADEMY will be entitled to recover from parents its reasonable attorneys’ fees incurred in enforcing the tuition agreement and all outstanding principal and interest then due and payable financial commitments are binding. Prepaid tuitions that are not refunded will be calculated and acknowledged as a charitable donation to iPLANETS ACADEMY

Early withdrawals It is assumed that a family is enrolling for the entire year; therefore, budgets are set accordingly. If a student withdraws a 30-day advanced written notice is required. The existing month’s tuition plus an additional $828.00. will be assessed as a withdrawal fee. This holds true for all children enrolled who withdraw at anytime during the school year, whether the second week or mid-year.  Application, enrollment, and testing fees are non-refundable. Tuition and fees will continue to accrue until all forms are completed and proper withdrawal is made.

There is NO EXCEPTION to the withdrawal fee (loss of job, transfer of job, etc.). If a child is withdrawn from iPLANETS ACADEMY with an outstanding debt to the school, no records (assessment testing, report cards, paperwork, records or transcripts) will be released until all debts are paid in full. If payments are not made within 28 days then collections shall begin.

EDUCATIONAL FIELD TRIPS

iPLANETS ACADEMY strives to spend at least 60% in the classroom and 40% out in the community during our Fall/Winter Learning Session. We will spend time out in our community learning. We may go to a Museum, Visit a Waterpark, Visit a library, Eat at a restaurant or do all the above on the same day.  These off-site Educational Field Trips are to help them grasp concepts and enhance their learning experience. We believe that children learn best when they are actively engaged and concepts are presented in meaningful and creative ways.

Our rich and unparalleled Educational Field Trips connects the classroom to the real world and teaches students problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Small classes and a project approach to teaching create a love of learning that lasts a lifetime. Here, our children are not simply memorizing facts and taking tests; knowledge is absorbed through hands-on, experiential learning. It is also a great way for them to explore their community while having fun with their friends.

Some Educational Field Trips will not require any additional fees while others may require additional fees and others may require no fees for your child(ren) but maybe a fee for parents attending for their POSH or GOSH. Please check before signing up.

After hours of exciting, educational, and fun activities your child's body needs rest. This is to let you know what to expect for your child during nap and rest times.

Daily naps for children are essential for good days and good nights. Many parents believe their child will sleep better at night without a nap during the day. However, if your child is overtired, they may become stressed and irritable, and their behavior may actually worsen. Often they become overactive, making it difficult to fall asleep at bedtime.

Children who nap have longer attention spans and are less irritable than those who are not napping.  Children need this time to re-group. We have scheduled rest times.

Our PRIMARY Class offers our children ample opportunities to enhance their social skills. They get to interact not only with other children but also with other adults other than their parents. This is where their language skills are enhanced. It's also an excellent venue for learning emotional and self-regulation skills. Through our engaging lessons and exciting themes that bring smiles to their face, your child will reach many academic goals.

They must have an attention span to sit in a class setting for lessons that are 20-30 minutes at a time. They also must be pre-writing and have used an electronic device before such as a phone, tablet or computer.

The weekly PRIMARY Class is for Advanced Kindergarteners and First Grade students.

LOWER CLASS

Our LOWER class is a combined class that allows children who are 6 years old by September 1, 2021, up to 7 years old to apply. The children in this class must be writing already, be mature enough to keep up with an extensive, rigorous, and fast-paced class with a varied curriculum as well as an attention span to do lessons for at least 30-45 minutes at a time. They also must be writing and have used an electronic device before such as a phone, tablet or computer. A part of their enrollment process will be to take an assessment beforehand to ensure they are ready for this type of class.

This weekly LOWER Class is for our Second and Third graders.

Our LOWER class is heavily S.T.R.E.A.M.S. inspired as well as love, problem, inquiry, and project-based child-directed learning. Which simply means our children are active participants in the learning process. Through collaboration, shared experiences, and in-depth exploration of unique projects, students develop a rich understanding of the topics that they are investigating. By learning through problems and projects, children establish the ability to become “masters” of knowledge related to specific topics – a skill that will serve them well right now and beyond.

It's designed to encourage students to think critically, solve problems, explore and share ideas. We support each student's learning style by offering opportunities for them to work in small groups and one-on-one with their teacher. The daily schedule is designed to enrich the students' knowledge with a variety of hands-on, visual and auditory, self-directed experiences, and teacher-led activities. Learning includes engineering, science, technology, math, social sciences, games, robotics, reading, life skills, etc.

Our LOWER class will receive homework and project assignments that requires active participation from them as well as parents throughout the entire school session. Please consider this BEFORE enrolling your child. Any children who are not keeping up will be dropped from the LOWER class and no refunds will be given.
